I hate my name, opinions on a nickname?

my name is Tiffany. When I think of "Tiffany" I think of some ditzy cheerleader. My middle name is "Erin" so I was thinking when I hit college, I'd introduce myself to people as "Erin." but to me that name sounds so plain and boring. Some people say I could take the last part of "Tiffany," which is "any" and spell it as "Annie." Suggestions/Opinions?
