Electrolysis hair removal on a frequently plucked area?

I want to have electrolysis on my bikini line, but I've been regularly plucking the hairs there for years, and I know hairs that were previously plucked can be harder to remove with electrolysis. Does the frequent plucking mean I cannot have electrolysis in this area, or can I do it if I stop plucking the hairs for a period of time before having electrolysis? If the latter is true, how long do I need to wait in order for the hairs to return to their normal growth pattern?
