When it is really hot outside my AC in my car blows hot air in the evenings and early it is fine?

I had my AC in my car flushed and a freon charge last summer. The air works fine in the early AM and evenings. When it is really hot out mid-day and I make frequent stops it starts blowing hot air. What is the problem here? It only does this from June to Sept each year.
