Could this possibly cause my principal to get fired?

My friend and I are trying to gain support in order to stop continuous teacher layoffs, and we, along with the majority of our large school, have decided to hold a walkout on the 31st of this month; we're sharing it on Facebook, everything, and we're going to meet at Balboa Park immediately afterwards to protest. However, another friend told me that actually going through with it might result in my principal getting fired for not putting an end to it. I don't want a lecture on how missing out on my education counters the purpose, I just want to know if this could get my principal fired. Thank you.
